GWC Partners Settle Back-to-Back Million Dollar Cases

We are proud to announce that GWC Injury Lawyers partners Lou Cairo, Mike Fisher and Joe Sorce have settled back-to-back multi-million dollar cases.

In one case, a Local 1 iron worker was injured at a Chicago hospital construction site. The victim suffered a mild traumatic brain injury in a fall caused by improperly protected walking surfaces. The $6.2 million settlement was against one of Illinois largest commercial general contractors.

In the second case, a construction worker also suffered a mild traumatic brain injury at a construction site as a result of poorly secured walking surfaces. The case settled for $10 million.

“It’s an amazing responsibility to represent clients suffering from traumatic brain injuries. My partners and I are proud to know that we were able to persuade the defendants that these two clients, who were injured on separate job sites, were both seriously hurt despite appearing to be totally normal to the public, said partner Lou Cairo.

It’s quite gratifying to know that we were able to help these fine union men obtain the financial security that they lost in their accidents.”

At GWC Injury Lawyers, we are dedicated to fighting for the rights of workers injured on the job and have a track record of success handling construction accident cases.

Congratulations to the entire team that worked hard to obtain our clients the justice they rightfully deserve.
