GWC Obtains $455,000 Settlement After Insurance Company Denies Responsibility

GWC recently obtained a $455,000 settlement on behalf of Nancy M., a client who was seriously injured when her vehicle was stuck by a delivery van. The result was especially impressive, as Nancy's case was turned down by another personal injury law firm.

Nancy initially took her case to another prominent Chicago personal injury attorney. However, when the insurance company denied responsibility, the other attorney immediately withdrew from the case, as he felt that it would be too difficult to prove that the other driver was at fault for the accident.

When Nancy contacted GWC, attorney Scott Weisman fully investigated the collision. Through the use of aerial photography of the intersection, Scott forced the other driver to admit that he failed to obey the traffic signals and, as a result, caused the collision.

After initially denying that its driver was at fault for the collision, the insurance company reversed its position and made a settlement offer to fully compensate Nancy for her medical expenses, lost wages, disability, and pain and suffering.
