Mass Tort

Mass tort cases, environmental disasters, widespread pollution and class action suits are in most instances large, complex cases that involve litigation by an individual or individuals against powerful national and multi-national corporations. Many focus on the intentional dumping of toxic substances, manufacturing ingredients or waste by-products that can cause physical injuries and ruin property values, as well as the inadvertent spillage of dangerous chemicals. Others involve defective products that have caused the injury, or even the death, of hundreds or thousands of people.

No other area of law exemplifies a “David vs. Goliath” situation as when an individual or group of individuals takes on a large manufacturer, pharmaceutical company, or a chemical or waste disposal company. Often, the sheer magnitude of the harm caused in these cases can seem overwhelming. That is why it is crucial to be supported by a law firm with a strong statewide and national presence and reputation, exceptional data management capabilities, a large and dedicated support staff and the financial capacity for waging a long, complex legal battle with the “Goliath” corporations in America.

At Goldberg Weisman Cairo, we have a proven track record of successfully fighting large corporations on behalf of our injured clients. Our attorneys are wise in the complexities of class action law, and we are willing to leverage our firm’s considerable resources to make sure that each of our clients receives full and fair compensation for their injuries.
