[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Two identical Chicago twins are dead after a serious weekend car accident in the Roseland neighborhood. Authorities say that the accident happened around 8:30 a.m. Last Saturday near State and 102nd Street. The 22-year-old twins and a 20-year-old female driver were killed in the crash. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the brothers were pronounced dead at nearby hospitals.
The only person to survive the fatal car accident was a 15-year-old girl who was sitting behind the driver’s seat. Authorities say that she remains hospitalized but her condition has stabilized.
Witnesses say that there appeared to be an argument in the car shortly before the 20-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed into three parked cars. A police spokesman said that all of the car accident victims had to be extricated from the vehicle by the “jaws of life.”
The Chicago Tribune reports that one of the cars involved was wrapped around a light pole, another was tossed to its side, and a third car was left in the middle of the intersection. The car containing twins was found flipped on its roof. It is unclear how fast the car was going on impact or whether drugs and alcohol were involved.
The twins leave behind at least two daughters who are about a month apart in age.
“It’s gonna be hard to explain to our daughters that their fathers aren’t here,” one of the twins’ girlfriends said. “They act just like their dads – the same personalities.”.
