[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Road rage has done it again. This incident occurred last Friday afternoon. A 52 year old drunk driver followed another man all the way to his home.
He was driving a 1998 Pontiac Sedan and had gone over the curb, then made a swerve back into his lane. The man in the vehicle behind him began to yell, saying that he should learn how to drive. This angered the drunk, so he cut the other man off, but there was no collision. The man continued his way on home. But for the drunk driver, it didnt end there. Both men are from Streamwood, which is where the drunk driver proceeded to drive through the yards and driveways of Ridge Circle in attempt to run the other man over.
He nearly hit it him, along with the mans mother who was doing yard work. Luckily, he missed them both.
Once police had finally caught up with him, the angry driver unsurprisingly failed the field sobriety test he was given. Police say his eyes appeared glazed over and his breath reeked of alcohol. He has been arrested and he bail has been set by Cook County Judge James Brown at $75,000.
Driving recklessly and/or drunk benefits no one, and can cause tremendous harm. Everyone gets a bit upset in traffic once in a while, but that is never an excuse to try harming someone. If you or someone you care about is a victim in a motor vehicle incident, give GWC a call for help.
