GWC Founder Michael B. Goldberg Returns Following Successful Pancreatic Cancer Treatment

On May 18, 2017, GWC Injury Lawyers Founder and Senior Partner Michael B. Goldberg returned to the firm’s offices following several months of treatment for pancreatic cancer. GWC welcomed Michael back with a company-wide reception.

Michael was happy to report that his treatment was successful and that his cancer is now in remission. He said he was excited to get back into the swing of things at GWC, Illinois’ largest Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury law firm, which he founded in 1978. He thanked the staff for their kind words of support upon his return. “It was worth everything I had to do to get back to my GWC family,” Michael said. He also thanked his partner and dear friend, Louis Cairo, who took on many added responsibilities during his absence.

Additionally, Michael urged everyone to support the Rolfe Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. “Johns Hopkins Hospital has a world-renowned pancreatic cancer department and is a regular beneficiary of funds raised by the Rolfe Foundation,” he said. “They treated me with great care and literally saved my life.”

The Rolfe Foundation’s annual “Dash for Detection” 5k walk/run will be held on June 11, 2017.  Last year, the friends and employees of GWC helped raise more that $250,000.00 for the organization’s pancreatic cancer research.  If you are interested in participating in the event or donating, please click here to read more.  Make you sure join “Team Goldberg” for the event.
