GWC Injury Lawyers is pleased to announce that Lance D. Northcutt has joined the firm as the lead partner in charge of GWC’s Specialty Litigation Practice.
In addition to catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, Lance handles a broad range of high-stakes matters, with particular emphasis on complex commercial/fraud claims, civil rights actions, white collar criminal defense, and emergency “bet the company” litigation. A former Cook County prosecutor, Lance Northcutt is a passionate courtroom advocate who has tried hundreds of cases before judges and juries. At the state and federal level, in both trial and appellate courts, Lance’s proven track record of achievement has involved taking on the most challenging cases that require the ability to navigate different areas of the law in order to deliver a winning litigation strategy. His work includes leading large-scale investigations and the representation of professionals who face great risk in civil litigation, criminal investigations, and proceedings before regulatory bodies.
In addition to his experience in the courtroom, Lance is also a legal educator and Adjunct Professor of Law teaching trial advocacy, evidence, and advocacy-related legal ethics in the United States and Ireland. He also currently serves as a Commissioner on the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism.
“Lance is a fearless and talented litigator in a courtroom. I could not be more proud to call him my partner,” said Louis Cairo, the firm’s managing partner.
