Drunk driving accidents have caused many fatalities over the years. Recently added to this list is a Rockford man who died after hitting a tree with his car in February of 2014. According to police, the man seemed to be driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of the crash. The man is said to have died at the scene.
His family is now trying to warn everyone against drunk driving by speaking out publicly about the issue at local businesses where alcohol is sold. Along with this, they are also accepting donations with hopes to raise $7,000 for the mans funeral and headstone.
