GWC Makes Good on Lance Briggs Charity Partnership

The law firm of GWC Injury Lawyers made good on its partnership with Chicago Bears All Pro middle linebacker Lance Briggs by donating a total of $8,800 to Lances Briggs4Kidz Foundation at the conclusion of the Chicago Bears 2013 Season. GWC originally had agreed to donate $100 for every solo tackle Lance Briggs made this season. While Lance was able to make a total of 51 solo tackles over the course of this season, a fractured shoulder ended up sidelining Lance for 7 weeks. As a result, GWC and Lance amended their contract: Lance selected a defensive teammate to fill in for him each week he was out to make sure that the Briggs4Kidz Foundation continued to receive donations for the entire season.

The Briggs4Kidz Foundation is a terrific organization that aims to help the less fortunate, predominantly those who reside in the Chicago community; however, in recent years, the program has expanded to Sacramento, California and Tucson, Arizona. The foundations primary goal is to raise awareness and funding in order to reach out in a positive way and help those in the community who have come across difficult times. In past years, Briggs4Kidz has taken several local under-privileged children from the Chicago area on holiday shopping sprees, provided toys and meals, and hosted learning seminars on various topics. Children apply to the various programs and are chosen based on several factors, including financial need, grade point average, grade improvement percentage, acts of good citizenship, and school attendance records.
