US Route 41 Hit & Run Victim Identified

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On Saturday, November 16th, a thirty-one year old man was found dead near an entrance ramp on US Route 41 in Gurnee, Illinois. He has now been identified, although his name is being protected. He was discovered unresponsive by officers, and paramedics agreed that he held no signs of life.

Alongside him was a black labrador retriever. The dog did appear to be injured but was still alive. Family members have confirmed the dog as Jordan, a pet belonging to them.

According to his family, the victim did return home from his job as a bartender. Jordan had gotten loose shortly thereafter, which was not so unusual. The man went and sought for Jordan, which led him to the ramp where he was later found.

After some investigation, it is now believed that the victim was hit by a passing vehicle sometime within the timeframe of 3:30-3:45 a.m. That foggy morning. Gurnee police are urging anyone with information regarding his death or his dog Jordans injuries to contact authorities.

What happened to this man is a sincere tragedy. However, occurrences like this are not as uncommon as you might think. Unfortunately, people are injured in accidents every single day. If you or someone you care about has been a victim, make sure to contact the law offices of GWC Injury Lawyers.
