In Search of a Cure Golf Event Raises $500,000 for Autism

GWC Injury Lawyers was a proud participant of the 13th Annual Golf Outing benefiting Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago.

Each year, thousands of dollars are raised to help fund a search for the cure, and GWC is proud to have contributed to this wonderful cause in 2014. Our firm was recently alerted that the event raised a record amount, more than $500,000.

The In Search of a Cure event was conducted on behalf of the new Therapeutic School and Center for Autism Research and in honor of Bryan D. Hancock, a law clerk at GWC. The goal of the Easter Seals Autism Therapeutic Schools is to empower students to achieve peak academic performance, as well as increase their social, vocational and community skills.

Autism is a developmental disorder that affects more than 1.5 million Americans. Approximately one in 88 children born today in the United States are diagnosed with autism. There is currently no known cure.

In Search of a Cure continues to lead the charge in autism awareness and support. The organization brings together hundreds of sponsors each year to shine a light on researching the cause and finding a cure.

Our firm is committing to giving back to the local community, read more about our community events here.
