SUV Crashes Into House, Child’s Window

Car Crashes into HousePolice are investigating the crash of an SUV into a house that took place on the night of January 7 in Evanston, Illinois – a car accident that sent dangerous debris flying into a child’s room.

An unnamed 68-year-old man was driving his Chevy SUV south in the 1000 block of Dodge Avenue after 8:00 p.m. when he struck several parked cars. According to police, the driver then hit the accelerator while trying to turn his SUV, causing it to crash into a house, break a basement window, and send shards of glass into a room where a child was sleeping in bed.

Fortunately, the child avoided injury, as did her sister and her grandmother, who were also residing in the house. The driver of the SUV was taken to Saint Francis Hospital with complaints of breathing trouble.
