Raised in Northern Illinois and with a family background that has strong Union affiliations, Ms. Killen joined the law offices of Goldberg Weisman Cairo in 1992 and offers the clients of our law firm the experience that she has gained from practicing Workers’ Compensation Law for more than 24 years.
Kitra’s vast experience includes workers suffering from injuries and conditions such as amputations, severe spinal injuries, regional pain syndrome (RSD), carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), and career ending injuries to the back, knees and shoulders.
Ms. Killen was a proud UAW Union Member while working on the assembly line at Chrysler for 3 summers during college and learned to have a great respect for Union Workers during that time. She earned her law degree from John Marshall School of Law in 1985 and is extremely proud of her successful litigation to the Illinois Appellate Court, in particular, for a highly disputed case involving a Sheet Metal Worker who contracted a unique fungus at work with near fatal results. She obtained an Arbitration Award in excess of $350,00.00, which was upheld on Appeal.
As a long standing member of the Worker’s Compensation Lawyers Association, Kitra takes great pride in helping injured workers and their families obtain the benefits, rights, and compensation they so justly deserve.
