Single-Car Chinatown Feeder Accident Causes Traffic to Be Diverted

On February 28, 2014, traffic was diverted around Chicago’s Chinatown feeder ramp located on the Dan Ryan Expressway. Drivers were redirected away from this area by police for several hours.

This was due to a single-car rollover crash, which left both occupants of the vehicle injured. Illinois State Police have announced that the female driver of the vehicle remains in critical condition. The passenger was also harmed.

The crash happened at the very early time of 4:30 a.m. Within the northbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway, just south of 22 nd Street.

Luckily, no other cars were involved in this accident, but these types of single-car accidents happen all too often on Chicago roads, and the passengers are often able to seek financial recovery.
