Authorities from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office have released initial details on a serious, five car accident that took place on Route 120 between Fisher and Darrell Roads near Lakemoor.
According to the report, the collision occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m and involved an east bound GMC van that hit a Honda Accord that was traveling west on Rouye 120.
Shortly after the crash, a UPS van his hit by debris from the accident, causing the driver of that vehicle to lose control and collide with a Ford pickup truck and a landscape trailer.
The driver of the Honda Accord – 46 year old Gordon Searle of Lindenhurst – was fatally injured in the collision, while other factors of the accident are still being investigated by authorities.
