Several children have been injured in a Justice school bus accident while they were on their way to a program at a Bridgeview school.
Justice School Bus Accident Sends Three to Hospital
The Justice school bus accident took place at approximately 6:00 a.m. on December 4, 2019. At that time, a school bus was traveling northbound on 79th Street when it turned west onto 85th Street. It then struck another school bus with five elementary school students on board. The turning bus school bus was not transporting students at that time, according to Justice Police Sergeant Fred Schuerg.
Indian Springs School District Superintendent Blair Nuccio said the students had been headed to an extended-day math program at Bridgeview Elementary School. Three of the children were transported to area hospitals to receive treatment for their injuries.
The school bus drivers were reportedly employed by First Student Inc.
