Mr. Fisher is a partner at the law offices of Goldberg Weisman & Cairo having started his career at the firm in 1985 as a law clerk and then as an associate in 1987.
With more than $90 MILLION in courtroom verdicts and negotiated settlements, Michael has a proven track record of success that includes a verdict of more than $9.3 MILLIONfor the family of a deceased factory worker killed in an automobile accident, $3.2 MILLION for an electrician who sustained a knee injury and had rejected an offer from the defense to settle for a mere $300,000.00. He also set the record for the highest jury verdict in Jo Daviess County of over $2.8 MILLION for a painter who injured his heel falling from a man lift. Most recently in 2014, Mr. Fisher obtained over $6.4 MILLION for the family of an ironworker who was killed in a bridge collapse.
Mr. Fisher has received numerous accolades including the Illinois Jury Verdict Reporters prestigious award for Trial Lawyer Excellence and Chicago Lawyer Magazine’s “Leading Attorney in Illinois” by virtue of the number of multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements he has obtained for his clients.
Michael is a graduate of the DePaul University College of Law and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Davis. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Illinois Bar Association and is married and has 3 great children.
