GWC Injury Lawyers is proud to announce that Deanna Cairo-Arthur and Louis Anthony Cairo, who are the 2 oldest children of managing partner Louis Cairo, were recently featured alongside Lou in Leading Lawyers publication.
Deanna and Louis Anthony worked at GWC as paralegals since finishing college, and their experience affirmed their desire to become practicing attorneys and to join their father at GWC. Their upbringing was always focused on one day practicing law with their father; reality is a blessing to all 3 of these fine lawyers, and it is quite promising for the continued success of Illinois’ largest personal injury and workers compensation law firm.
In a recent interview with the Leading Lawyers publication, both associates expressed their admiration for their father and their early introduction to law. The children stated that their father has been successful in instilling respect and professionalism in them and warned them early on in their careers that there would be no special treatment just because their father was the boss. Instead, they’d have to work longer, harder and smarter. Needless to say, Lou’s children have risen to the occasion and the firm’s future is stronger than ever.
The senior Louis Cairo is committed to continuing the GWC values that have made the firm successful: hard work and respect for everyone. Cairo noted that everybody in this office, from the senior partners to the mail staff, get the same amount of respect from me and from my kids. This is an admirable principle, but not surprising when one considers that this managing partner started as a clerk in the mailroom when the firm only had 7 total employees in 1981.
At the heart of the firms practice is representing union employees throughout Illinois. The firm has built long-standing relationships with union leaders throughout the state, and the second generation of “Cairo” attorneys are well poised to continue that tradition.
