GWC Injury Lawyers attorney Jacqueline C. Hickey spoke at multiple Latin American consulates during the 12th Annual Latin American Labor Rights Week.
Latin American Labor Rights Week is an annual event focused on protecting workers and educating them about their rights. From August 23 through August 30, Ms. Hickey gave presentations about workers’ compensation rights and benefits at the Consulate General of Mexico in Chicago. She also gave talks at the consulates of El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador, and Guatemala.
Ms. Hickey spoke alongside representatives from the Department of Labor, the Department of Human Rights, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
“It is always an honor to be invited to participate in this weeklong event,” said Ms. Hickey. “Especially in times like these, it is important to remind the community of its rights. GWC and I continue to support the Latino community here in Chicago.”
