GWC is pleased to announce that James E. Babcock has been appointed to the Workers’ Compensation Law Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA).
“Lifeblood” of the ISBA
Mr. Babcock will serve on the Workers’ Compensation Law Section Council for the 2021-2022 term. As part of his duties, he will contribute to the Council’s newsletter, participate in subcommittees, help with the production of Continuing Legal Education programs, and otherwise assist the more than 27,000 members of the ISBA.
This is not the first time that Mr. Babcock has been involved with the Workers’ Compensation Law Council. He previously served on the committee before the commitments of raising a family prevented him from putting forth the time required, and it is an experience that he is eager to repeat.
“These small but influential groups are the lifeblood of the Illinois State Bar Association,” said Mr. Babcock. “They produce educational materials, propose legislation and rules, and help the ISBA serve and protect its members and their clients in countless ways.
“I look forward to representing GWC and the Petitioner’s bar in putting forth positive and creative changes for our clients with the legislature that both Respondents and Petitioners can agree upon,” he added.
